Odd Thomas Series Books 1-5: A collection of the Sunday Times bestselling psychological thrillers Kindle Edition
Small-town guy meets big-time evil. Five Odd Thomas novels from master storyteller and international bestseller, Dean Koontz.
Odd by name, a hero by nature…
ODD THOMAS: Odd Thomas is a fry-cook who can communicate with the dead. And when something evil comes to Pico Mundo, the desert town Odd calls home, Odd is the only one who can prevent a devastating whirlwind of violence and murder.
FOREVER ODD: Odd Thomas has lost the love of his life, Stormy Llewellyn, but he has no time to grieve before he is called upon to use his unique talents in the search for a missing friend. And what he discovers is far worse than a dead body…
BROTHER ODD: Odd Thomas is looking for peace in a remote monastery in the High Sierra. But even in the silence of the mountains, danger follows him, and Odd will come face to face with an enemy that eclipses any he has met before…
ODD HOURS: When intuition leads Odd to the quaint town of Magic Beach on the California coast, he takes a job as cook for a once-famous Hollywood actor. Disturbing dreams haunt his sleep, however, and nothing can prepare him for the nightmare that lies ahead.
ODD APOCALYPSE: Just off California’s Pacific Coast Highway stands Roseland: a mansion, protected by high walls. Odd finds refuge there, with the mysterious Annamaria. But the house contains terrible and bloody secrets, and is haunted by lingering spirits. Roseland has welcomed them in, but will it ever let them leave?

- Reviewed in the United States on June 5, 2013I had previously read most of the Odd Thomas collection in printed form, however I find it's far better reading the series at the one time rather than read one book then have to wait for the next. Dean Koontz is one of my favorite authors and I am thoroughly enjoying reading this series, once again.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 23, 2015Once again a great series by Dean Koontz.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you want to cry,be happy and faith in humanity.
Odd Thomas the book and the series are a must to read . Uplifting, heartbreaking, and unbelievably compassionate. The Characters are Brilliant, Odd, you just want to hug him for his humanity. Always fast pace. But that's Dean Koontz for you. One of history's best writer, I don't think I've ever read a nonsensical book by him. Plus he has a great perspective of human social life. Read his works, especially the Odd Thomas Series.

3.0 out of 5 stars Cool topic, but slowly deteriorating
I loved the series and the idea of a young man seeing ghosts - and therefore, solving crimes. The first book is absolutely thrilling with an unexpected, heartbreaking end to it.
The second is still good. Afterwards, the series slowly deteriorates. The plots and plot twists become more and more consctructed. The series has not ended yet, and I would really love to see what becomes of Odd, but I am not sure if I want to read all it takes to get there.
Or perhaps Koontz gets better again?
So: Five stars for the first book, 4 for the second, three and two for the following ones.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very moreish, hard to put down down once you start reading
Enjoyed all the books, The writer carries you along to his world, where its COVID-19 free, and full of wonders. And it's a great escape, for a couple of hrs, and from the reality of the now.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great series with stories coming in different contexts. Later books lesser than earlier ones.
I read the whole series including books not included in the bundle.
Cannot remember if I read the first couple of books before the movie came out or after. So sad Anton Yelchin was killed in an accident. It would be hard to find someone as good to play the role.
Books in a series are always lumpy.. The first is the best IMHO. I have reread it a few times now. Others were enjoyable but I doubt I will ever reread them.
Dean Koontz is one of my favourite authors but his books of late have a terrible sameness about them. As an Aussie (AAA) the attitudes to guns is particularly galling. And yet here we have the main character who avoids guns.. until the last couple of books where he finally falls in line with the great American gun culture... if reluctantly.
I did find later books repeated over and over in later Koontz stories. Evil government siding with evil corporations doing corrupt and evil stuff via one of those many policing agencies the US cooks up on a weekly basis.
Read the first book.. if you enjoy it read the next couple... if you get bored after that.. well fair enough.
