Hello everyone, As we come up to the first anniversary of Dr. Sugrue's passing, the History department at Ave Maria University has established the Michael Sugrue Lecture in honour of his life and work. The inaugural lecture will be given by Dr. John DiIulio from the University of Pennsylvania and is titled “All-American Socrates: The Intellectual Legacy and Teachings of Dr. Michael J. Sugrue.” It will be simulcasted here on the YouTube channel on February 3rd at 5pm EST

Hello all, Darren Staloff has informed me that there is a mass happening in honor of Dr. Sugrue in Tuscon, Arizona next Sunday, February 18th. It will be at St. Augustine Cathedral. Sadly I don't know what time, but if any of you are in Tuscon, you are welcome to go.

Regrettably, Professor Sugrue's class is cancelled for today. He is ill and his health is such that synchronous teaching is increasingly difficult. There are a few videos already recorded that have not been posted and they will be posted asap. The professor says he wants to lecture on Boethius because he finally understands.
