- Reviewed in the United States on September 29, 2009Very interesting read. Gets a bit tedious at the end, but well worth the read for the first 2/3rd alone. Just wish we had more politicians like him now, who put the country and people before his own bank account. Everyone could learn from his example of self betterment, education and civic service for the sole purpose of making oneself a better human being and useful to others w/o the need for a $ payout.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 20, 2011To the individual who wants to increase his knowledge of one of Americas most unique and important founding fathers: This book is well researched and maintains a detailed account of Franklin's life through his written correspondents. It will certainly garner a greater appreciation for the man and the values he kept loyal to.
To the student: Unless you have a genuine interest/passion for history and an excellent memory of detail, I would recommend this book only to read it for a solid foundation. Afterward, something along the lines of "Spark Notes" would be EXTREMELY beneficial for a good grade.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 20, 2013I wanted this and was AMAZED that i found it! Great transaction and it was exactly as described... would get another in a heart beat!

4.0 out of 5 stars

3.0 out of 5 stars
