I found this book tedious to read. Besides being dated, the writing style was so tangential and circumstantial, that it was difficult to discern the fact that the authors intended to communicate. The kernel of information in each chapter was buried in an overwhelming amount of prose. I felt that the book could have been much shorter if the writing was more concise and focused. I also did not like the text boxes that were embedded in each chapter. They interrupted the flow of the discourse and were very distracting.

Easy to understand exploration of how we know the things we know. How have we come to understand the world around us. Full of illustrations, and stories.
