Fire-arrows - did archers really use them in battles? We see them in the movies, so presumably not. This is the most-anticipated video of all for this channel, which naturally makes me a bit nervous. Will people be hideously disappointed? I mentioned two and a half years ago that I would make a video on this topic, and this video shows that I am as good as my word, and not over-hasty either. My thanks to the three people who pointed out quite correctly that when I said 'Francis Bacon' (1561-1626) I meant Roger Bacon (1219-1292).
