The DHSC formula will help you write a world-class story in just 30 min:
Storytelling is a superpower.
The DHSC framework will help you unlock it.
It stands for "The Dan Harmon Story Circle"
(Yes, that Dan Harmon - from Rick & Morty and Community)

Now, this formula can be used with:
• Welcome sequences
• An "About" page
• Sales pages
• Content
• Email
Really anywhere you need to share a story to your audience and/or customer.

The formula is:
• A hero finds themselves in a comfort zone
• Then discover they want something
• And enter an unfamiliar situation
• They then learn to adapt to it
• And get what they wanted
• But pay a heavy price
• To return to their life
• Having changed
Let's look:

• Then discover they want something
• And enter an unfamiliar situation
• They then learn to adapt to it
• And get what they wanted
• But pay a heavy price
• To return to their life
• Having changed
Let's look:
1. A hero is in a comfort zone
Here, we want to outline the situation:
• What life is like
• What drives them
• Who you/the hero is
You want to make this as relatable to your reader as possible.

2. They discover they want something
Think of this section as similar to the "problem"
The hero knows they're capable of more.
Outline the:
• Issues
• Problems
• Obstacles
That resonate and connect them to the reader.

3. And enters an unfamiliar situation
If step 2 is the "problem"
Step three "amplifies" that problem...
Outline all of the:
• Experiments
• Mistakes
• Tests
Our hero uses to help solve the problem.

4. They learn to adapt to it
This is your "ah-ha!" moment...
This is where the hero discovers:
• A tool
• A secret
• A system
• A pattern
• A framework
• An opportunity
That helps them unlock a unique solution.

5. And get what they wanted
This is your "transformation section"
Identify the new life your hero has:
• New opportunities
• New freedoms
• New lifestyle
Whatever it may be that solving this problem helped provide.

6. But pay a heavy price
In this section, we want to show the reader that this didn't come easy...
This acts as a "tee up" for the next section.
Remind the reader of the:
• Time
• Stress
• Anxiety
• Mistakes
• Obstacles
It took to solve the problem in the first place.

7. To return to their familiar situation
Empathy is everything here.
This is our hero returning to that old self.
• The uncertainty
• The life they use to live
• The messenger with great news
And we parlay this section into...

8. Having changed
Again, the hero transformed.
You've taken the reader through an entire journey that outlined the:
• Systems
• Problem
• Struggles
• Transformation
Now, you have the opportunity to show them how they can bypass the entire journey with your offer.

And that's it!
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this framework.
• How do you plan to use it?
• What resonated most with you?
• Why do you think it's so powerful?
Add your thoughts in the comments!
I'd love to hear them.
