After having sold millions of novels in the United States, including We The Living (1936), The Fountainhead (1943) and especially Atlas Shrugged (1957), the philosopher and novelist Ayn Rand (1905-1982) Developed a complete system of thought, Objectivism, based on the five classical pillars of philosophy: metaphysics, epistemology, politics, ethics, aesthetics. In The Romantic Manifesto (1969), she exposes an aesthetic philosophy at odds with the currently most widespread conceptions.
