I haven’t read the book. But I think, declaring an open-source, global, inclusive, rule-based, and most importantly, a voluntary monetary system as right-wing extremism is far fetched :)

Bitcoiners consist of many ideologies. The glue that holds us all together is the idea of separation of money and state, and giving no state, corporation, special interest group or person the power to print money or change the rules of the game for whatever reason.

Somehow, we even have many socialist bitcoiners as well.

I would be extremely hesitant to call the participants of this entirely new domain “right wing extremists”. But instead, I would put in the effort to really understand why all these people, from many different backgrounds, nationalities and ideologies come together in this “most-peaceful protest”.
