Taymor is a theatre enthusiast who started her journey at a young age. She joined the Boston Children's Theatre and starred in various productions. She later discovered Julie Portman's Theatre Workshop and began traveling to Boston every weekend. At 15, she went on an international trip to Sri Lanka and India. After graduating high school at 16, she studied at L'École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq in Paris, focusing on mime and developing her physical abilities. Her time in Paris also sparked an interest in film, particularly the works of Fellini and Kurosawa.
