I've read this @StephenMarche joint a couple times now, and I can recommend it. [link] But! I am not sure mysticism is the path out of whatever dark shroud AI has wrapped us in. It feels like the door being opened—equally unfamiliar—is one of aesthetics.

I’ve heard that one too. This piece has a pretty good explanation for why the lottery might not be a great metaphor either. [link] My go-to analogy is “pro ballplayer.”
