Good post. Liked the genie, casino frameworks. Agree with one of the commenter that the end few paras (the one after the Julian Barnes quote) was a bit of a contradiction to what came before.

I loved this episode where @arpiit got @niraj001s of Spinny to open up about the loong journey to a 🦄. That it is in Hinglish - wasnt designed as such but it evolved naturally (as when 2 friends converse) - makes it a great fun listen!

Interesting writeup on Coatue's Mosaic alternative / credit card data dbase from @mariogabriele 's piece - interesting how it has built this as a sourcing + evaluating + portfolio support tool. Costs a fair bit of money, but those fees are rich! via

Good thread on (North) India’s liquor excise policy.

Tweet Apr 15, 2022
@sajithpai @pranavmanie What's missing is basics of excise policy. As someone who read through entire excise policy back in 2013 and knows industry, couple of quick pointers: 1) alcohol isn't cheaper in Gurgaon(or HT), it's just more expensive elsew

I loved this piece by @pranavmanie exploring Gurgaon through the lens of its liquor stores & the liquor industry. Also accompanied by very nerdy detailing of the innards of liquor licensing and economics.

Extraordinary thread. And I hate threads as such. But this one is exceptional writing. Trigger warning: pics of burn victims. So be warned.
