Sean Illing is a writer for Vox.com a media website operated by liberal columnist Ezra Klein and launched in April 2014. He holds a PhD in Political Science and Philosophy from Louisiana State University, Class of 2014. Illing is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served as a Paramedic from 2002 to 2005. Illing taught at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette for one year before becoming a writer for Salon. He joined Vox.com in August 2016.
