Just finished this book this week... potentially the most mind-bending scifi I've ever read. Strong recommendation (if you can handle a little horror and not being able to sleep after reading).

Yeah ok Matrix is pretty good.. I more meant that sci fi movies never really live up to how I imagine them in the books. Other genres (eg thrillers) definitely do. I've been sleeping on Daniel Suarez, gotta read him! What's his best book in your opinion?

Sorry man Arrival is midwit (short story good tho) The truth is there are basically no great sci fi movies. Maybe Contact or Interstellar fits both sides of the bell curve
